Dr. Jayant Barve

Dr. Jayant Barve is one of the top Clinical and Interventional Gastroenterologists in India. He has been involved in the field of Therapeutic Endoscopy since its inception. Dr. Barve is also one of the first pioneers of ERCP procedures in Mumbai. He is well known for his innovative work in Therapeutic GI Endoscopy related to Management of Esophageal Gastric, Colonic and Hepatobiliary diseases.

Earlier, Dr. Barve held a position of Head of the Dept of Medicine at Dr. RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital. He is regularly involved in IMA lecture series and is well known for his case capsule presentation.

His international experience in the field of Endoscopy includes working at Middlesex Hospital in London and Duke University in North Carolina in USA. Dr. Barve is a well-respected Gastroenterologist for treating patients across the spectrum from celebrities like Mr. Amitabh Bachchan to the economically challenged patients who are treated on charitable basis under his care.

A postgraduate DNB teacher, Dr. Barve is available for his consultancy at Jewel Hospital & Endoscopy Centre, Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre and Nanavati Hospial & Research Centre.
